I have long been an aficionado of New York artist Peter Halley, but I have equally been frustrated of the direction of his later pieces, which seem to lack the intellectual rigor of his early career. Although the bulk of my work involves appropriation art, I have so far hesitated to produce or even show my suggestions to Halley on how to take his work further, and out of its current iconographic impasse. After much deliberation however, I now believe the time has come for these works, produced over my years, to come out of the closet.
